This is the current advertising campaign which Renault is running, Can a car change a town?, involving the filmed experiences of a character called Claude from Menton on the Cote d’Azur, arriving in the village of Gisburn, Lancashire to carry out a cultural comparison between the levels of joie de vivre in the two communities.
Claude’s aim is to see whether it’s purely a coincidence that there appears to be a correlation between Mégane ownership and the levels of joie de vivre, or happiness, in both places. His research currently reveals that places with more Méganes, Menton has higher fertility rates, more kisses per hour, more lingerie shops and more days of sunshine, to name but a few.
