What Car? Treble for Peugeot
The Peugeot 3008 has won the overall Car of the Year title at the 2010 What Car? Car of the Year Awards, along with the new Crossover title. The New Peugeot 5008 also picked up a stunning award - being voted MPV of the Year 2010.
Explaining why What Car? chose the 3008 as its 2010 Car of the Year, Editor Steve Fowler said "The 3008 oozes clever thinking. It is styled in a striking and user-friendly fashion and has all the room inside that a modern family should need. Some of the features are a delight, like the full-length glass roof, the head-up display and the massive cooled storage bin between the front seats. Mind you, the rest of the car is pretty clever too; the rear seats fold flat at the pull of a lever in the boot and the false cargo bay floor means you can get a long or a tail load in. And just as importantly, the 3008 is also comfortable to drive and be driven in, as well as being keenly priced and affordable to run. All of which makes it ultra-desirable and another brilliant Car of the Year."

Interior
Inside the 3008, the first thing that strikes you is the sheer amount of space and light which pours in from the 1.60 square metre glass roof and panoramic windscreen.
The 3008 has a huge range of high-tech controls including Distance Alert and Head-Up Display, which projects essential driver information at eye level. State-of-the-art entertainment and telematics systems, hugely generous leg room and personal air-conditioning complete the atmosphere of luxury and comfort.
Technology
The high driving position makes for great all-round visibility; yet the cockpit-like layout lets you know that you are firmly connected to the road. The unique Head-Up Display allows you to read essential information without taking your eyes off the road. Hill-starts are made easy as the car will automatically release the electric handbrake when the revs increase.
Safe and Sound
An intelligent Grip-control system lets you drive safely in tough conditions like sand, rain and ice. Dynamic Roll Control reduces body roll, dramatically improving driving comfort. Low CO2 emissions of 128 g/km and fuel economy of 58mpg show that the 3008 is a car with a conscience too. The new 3008 has a Euro NCAP 5-star safety rating – the highest possible score for vehicle safety.
Meanwhile, Peugeot 5008, which seats up to seven and is ‘enjoyed by families, loved by drivers’, has been named What Car? Best MPV for 2010.
The What Car? ‘treble’ for Peugeot further demonstrates the class-leading range of family vehicles. Peugeot UK’s Managing Director Jon Goodman added: “We are absolutely delighted – these awards show the quality of the two latest cars we’ve launched.”
